Welcome to the ‘How-to Korean’ page of LearnKoreanOnline.NET. This section is all about answering people’s most basic questions along the lines of “How do you say ‘this’ in Korean?”.
Down below you’ll find links to different videos. Most of the videos are actually embedded into this page, so the link will probably just take you down to the point on the page where the video is, but some may take you to a different page.
The first section is exactly what I said above, just answering ways to say different things in Korean. But then, down below that, you’ll also find what’s more accurately described as situational Korean, for example, things you can say in a taxi or supermarket. The list is still small as this is a fairly new thing, but over time hopefully, it’ll build itself into a great resource for anyone to use to really help make getting around Korea and speaking in Korean much easier.
Anyways, to access a particular lesson, just click on it and it’ll take you to the video (they’re usually videos, anyways). And if there’s something you’d like to know how to say that’s not down there, feel free to reply to this or any one of the other related pages and ask, or just email me at rob@learnkoreanonline.net.
And there’s just ONE MORE THING worth noting…you’ll notice in my videos that I don’t really use (almost never!) English phonetics when writing Korean words. Any of the writing I do is in Korean. That’s because I firmly believe that trying to learn Korean without being able to read and write is kind of ridiculous as it will just make it much harder for you. So if you can’t yet read and write, then I HIGHLY recommend that’s the first thing you learn. It’s not difficult to do – it can honestly be done in a day if you just sit down and do it – and by following this link, you’ll be taken to a page where you can get TOTALLY FREE a bunch of videos recorded in the live class I teach here in Korea teaching exactly that. So start there, and when you’re ready, you can make your way back to here for some more content. But if you are ready for these then…
Happy studying, and I’ll speak to you soon!
Rob…
